Appleは日本時間5月13日、「iOS 15.5」「iPadOS 15.5」「watchOS 8.6」「tvOS 15.5」「macOS 12.4」のRC（Release Candidate）版を開発者およびパブリックベータ登録者向けにリリースしました。
手元の環境で「iOS 15.5」「iPadOS 15.5」「watchOS 8.6」のパブリックベータ版が利用可能であることを確認しました（追記：「macOS 12.4」も）。
iOS 15.5では、Apple Cash Card、Apple Podcastsなどの機能強化やバグ修正が含まれています。
正式版の一般公開はいつか
RC版が出たことで、正式版の一般公開が間近に迫っていると思われます。
前回のiOS15.4の場合、RC版が3月9日に出て6日後の3月15日に正式版がリリースされています。
今回もおそらく、1週間ほどで出るのではないでしょうか。
iOS15.5は6月6日のWWDC前には出ると予想されていましたので、そのとおりになりそうです。

パブリックベータについて
ユーザーは、Appleの用意する次のサイトからパブリックベータに登録できます。
Apple Beta Software Programに参加するには、無料のメンバー登録が必要です。
有効なApple IDを所有し、登録時にApple Beta Software Program契約に同意することで、だれでも参加できます。
続いて、使用しているデバイスを登録してパブリックベータにアクセスし、最新機能を試すことができます。「フィードバックアシスタント」Appを使ってAppleに直接フィードバックを送信することでもできます。
パブリックベータは現在、iOS15、iPadOS15、tvOS15、watchOS8、macOS Monterey 12でそれぞれ利用可能です。
