Apple TVのソフトウェアアップデート5.2.1が公開されました。Apple TVでも「iTunes in the Cloud」が利用可能となっています。また、安定性やパフォーマンスの向上が行われています。

- Stability and performance：Includes improvements for software update, subtitles, and general performance.
「iTunes in the Cloud」（Apple 機能説明）は、iTunesで購入した音楽、映画などをすべてのデバイスで瞬時に利用可能になります。各デバイスを同期する必要はありません。日本では音楽ファイルの利用が2012年12月より可能となっていました。そのときの対応デバイスはiPhone、iPod touch、iPad、Winodws、Macでしたが、今回のアップデートによりApple TVでも利用できるようになりました。
また、同時に、動画配信サービスHuluのユーザーインターフェースも刷新されています（AV Watch）。
