Microsoftは、クラウドストレージサービス「OneDrive」のプランを変更することを発表し、全ユーザーに提供される無料のOneDriveストレージは15GBから5GBに減少、同時に15GBのカメラロールストレージボーナスを2016年内に終了するとしていましたが、ユーザーのフィードバックを得て、2016年のプラン変更後も無料ストレージ分を引き続き利用できるようにする方法を用意しました。

というわけで、ユーザーは上記サイトの「Keep your free storage」をクリックしログインすることで、2016年のストレージ変更による影響を受けなくすることができます。
「Offer must be redeemed by January 31, 2016....」と注意書きがあります。

試したところ、

と表示されました。
私のアカウントは無料15GB＋カメラロールボーナス15GBがあるので、合計30GBが2016年のプラン改悪後も引き続き利用することができるはずです。
こんなことしなくとも既存ユーザーは自動的に現在の無料ストレージを維持できるようにすればいいのにと正直思いました。
Microsoftは前回の発表で、Office 365 Home、Personalなどの契約者にストレージ容量無制限の提供を終了し1TBのストレージに制限していました。
